IGI - I'm Going In (Review)
Realistic Shooters Seem To Be A Little More Popular In The Minds Of Developers Lately. See What We Have On The Table, Swat 3, Rainbow Six, Land Warrior And Now We Have Project IGI: I'm Going. If The Title Of The Game Does Not Warn You Now, You're Probably Wishing He'd Thought It Was Before It Fell $35-45. IGI Is A Mix Of A Game Halfway Between A Game Of Realistic Gunfire And Roar Arcadey Against Some Of The Most Stupid Ever To Walk On Their PC Screens Terrorists. Again, We Have A Game That Puts Us Back In The Same Territory That We Are Very Comfortable With The Fps Genre. In Other Words, It's The Same Old Story.
Therefore, IGI, You Take Control Of A Good Cool Boy From England Who Nearly Kicks Ass And Takes The Name, Even If It Appears That Someone Can Punch A Hole In Without Much Effort. Is Supposed To Be A Clever Little Bastage Can Enter And Exit The Difficulty Of Good Style And Wiser Person. But To My Surprise, Almost All Missions Were Found In A Bloodbath Without Much Sneaking Involved. In Fact, You Can Just Sneak Around So Far. There Comes A Time When It Really Just Depends On You And Take Everything That Moves To Get Past Some Of The Most Difficult Missions. It Would Be Bad, Attacking The Bases Of The Biggest Terrorist, But Fortunately, These Terrorists Are Incredibly Stupid, But I Go Into Detail About That In A Second.
Missions Are Set Up As Such ... Is Given A Presentation Showing The Points Of Interest And Then Fell A Little Short Of The Target In A Kind Of Stealth Helicopter That No One In The Neighborhood Seems To Notice Or Care Except For A Mission. So There You Are, You Are Allowed To Fall Into The Fray With Only Your Wits. Well, There Are Weapons Too And You Can Leave Your Mind At Home, You Will Not Find Anything Too Hard Mentally Here. The Challenge Comes In Trying To Not Get Shot By One Of The Most Accurate I've Ever Seen Enemies. As Long As You Will Asegures That His Back Is To You, You'll Be Fine. The AI Is So Stupid, You Feel That You Could Use The "Tap On The Shoulder And Next To Them While They Look The Other Way" Things You Used To Use In The Second Year Of Trick Your Friends. Of Course, Why Just Do When You Can Stab Him In The Neck And Have A Shiny New Weapon? But If You Do Not Accidentally Get Into Your Line Of Sight, There Is A Good Chance That You Will Be Shot.
Their Missions, With A Couple Of Exceptions Relate To The Infiltration Of A Base (AKA Kill Everyone There) And Find Someone Or A Computer Or Something To That Effect. So, More Or Less, Will Have To Run The Database, Find A Way And Kill The People Who Keep This To Get Where You Need To Go. And If You Have A Sniper Rifle, Which Can Be Very Funny, Even If The AI's Stupidity Shown. So Take A Shot At Close Range With A Shotgun To Kill An Enemy. Fun Things Right? Of Course, I Guess, Especially Since The Guy Who Seemed To Have A Nice Conversation With The Objective Is Always To Have This Conversation, Even If It Is Covered In The Brains Of His Friend. "Ya Hear That, Bob?"
There Was An Attempt To Make The Semi IA - Smart, But It Was A Very Sad Attempt. If You Miss Or Hit An Enemy Near One, You Could Fall Into A Prone Position. But In Seconds, Even If You Are Still Trying To Shoot In Soil. They Forgot To Teach These Kids The Cover Of "Duck And Cover". If You Miss A Guy With The Sniper Rifle, You Will Look Back And Forth Trying To Figure Out If A Huge Bee Just Zooming Past And Then Move On, Even If The Bee Was Able To Poke A Hole In The Chest His Friend. Do You Think If A Shooting Death And Heard Screams AK Base Tended To Be A Little More Alert With Some Soldiers Sent To Investigate The Area. But The Sounds Of The Weapons Do Not Move In This World, Should Be Next To The Barracks Pistol Shot To Perform Backup.
And Then There's The Pathfinding. Ugh. How Long Have Guards Run Right In Front Of Me Just To Give About Fifty Feet From Me And Then Aim To Shoot. A Lot. Mostly Because I Could Not Beat Before Turned Because Of Some Raw Frame Rates Suck For Aiming. If Someone Manages To Trigger An Alarm, You Should Also Know That The Guards Make A B - Online For Your Position, No Matter How They Come. No Start With Research Or Something, Just Find You And Push You Until You Die.
You Take Damage Almost As Fast As Their Enemies Do, You Have To Think Fast And Aim Well When It Comes To An Absolute Match. Once You Get A Lock On You, You're Dead. I Had A Fairly Large Collection Of Screen Of Death I Will Catch Up, But Due To Time Shrink. And The Sad Death So Much? There Is No Middle -mission Save Function. Not As Bad With This Game, Except In A Few Places, But Really, Why Not At Least Put In A Feature Where Players Can Win Once A Mission Or Something.
Apart From The Design Of The Boring And Terrible AI Mission, The Game Is Not Really Terrible. It's Really Fucking Average. The Graphics Are Decent, But The Frame Rate Can Really Be A Problem. Running The Game On A Powerful Machine With A Geforce 2 And 256 Mb Of Ram, The Game Was Still Running Slowly. This Could Quite Possibly Be Because The Game Is Running In A Press Flight Simulation Modified Engine. The Reason I Used Was The Ability To Generate Large Amounts Of Land. It Does Pretty Well, But I Can Not Say It Was Really That Impressive So I Did. Engine Land Warrior Did A Much Better Job With Much Less Unequal.
The Sound Was Very Average. That's All There Is To Say About That Really. The Sounds Are Not Bad, But Certainly Not Tried Hard To Be Very Realistic. I Did Not Hear The Echoes Through The Mountain Scenery To Shoot Guns, Missiles Are Playing On The Floor, Growling Death Were Pretty Boring And Really ... Everything Was Fine.
But Then This Is Really Where This Game Is. Amid The Fair Okays. It Is Excessively Average Except For The AI, Which Is Extremely Poor. Cold As Being Able To Shoot Through The Wood, With Binoculars Pointing Fresh Enemies And A Satellite Map Of The Area That Allows You To Plan Its Mission To Improve Things Not Compensate For The Lack Of Fun. There Are Many More Interesting Fps Out There That You Can Enjoy For The Same Price. With 14 Missions And No Multiplayer Support, This Game Will Last As Long As You Can Take Having To Run Through The Missions Again And Again.
